Step 1: Fulfilling Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: MBA aspirants must have a bachelor's degree or final year students with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) from a recognized university. However, the students are in the final year, and the degree must be completed at the time of MBA admission.
Age Limit: Some MBA Courses have fixed age criteria, but there is no fixed upper age limit for CAT.
Work Experience: There is no such requirement to have experience, but it will enhance & give extra weightage to your profile during the selection process.

Step 2: Applying for the CAT Exam
After filling out the eligibility criteria, the next step is to register & appear for the CAT exam on the official website (https://iimcat.ac.in) between the deadlines of August and September. Following the given guidelines for appearing in the CAT exam:
Exam Date: Please note the exam date, as the CAT exams are usually held on weekends, such as the last Sunday of November.
Exam Pattern: Analyze the exam pattern from previous years' papers, which generally comprises Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.
